Stamp produced in Paraguay on 20/10/1982
and dedicated to the Football World Cup
in Spain. It depicts an aerial clash between
Paolo Rossi and the Brazilian Oscar, during the
Italy-Brazil match on 05/07/1982,
played at the 'Sarrià' Stadium in
Barcelona. Bottom right is the World Cup
World Cup. No postal value, probably
because the specimen (the only one with the Cup
in the bottom right corner, while in the
other is positioned in the other three corners) is
part of a philatelic sheet also dedicated to
dedicated to "Spain '82" and consisting of nine stamps
stamps, showing in as many as five elements
by airmail, the same image of
Sandro Altobelli with the World Cup between his
hands, after the Madrid final at the "Bernabeu".
They are the only ones with a value of 10.00
Guaranies and the final ranking of the
competition. The remaining three stamps
also without value, depict
as many phases of play in the matches of the
Spanish Championships between Peru and Cameroon
(15/06/1982, Elie Onana and Juan Carlos Oblitas,
Riazor' Stadium in La Coruna), between France and
Poland (10/07/1982, Gérard Soler and Marek
Dziuba, 'Perez' Stadium in Alicante) and between
Brazil and Argentina (02/07/1982, Toninho
Cerezo and Daniel Passarella, 'Sarrià' Stadium in
Barcelona). The sheet also features the
symbol of the Paraguayan Republic and the
corresponding flag.
